7. Fees and Third-Party Costs
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, our professional fees do not include third-party costs and disbursements.

8. Cancellation and Consumer Rights
Where a client engages Bridgefield Legal as a consumer and enters into a contract at a distance, including by telephone, email, video conference, online enquiry or through this website, the client may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Unless an exception applies, consumers may have the right to cancel a service contract within 14 calendar days of entering into the contract.
Where a client requests that Bridgefield Legal commence work before the expiry of the cancellation period, the client expressly agrees that:
Bridgefield Legal may begin work immediately;
Charges may be incurred for work completed before cancellation;
Any refund may be reduced to reflect the services already provided; and
The right to cancel may be lost where the service has been fully performed.
Consultation fees are generally non-refundable where:
The consultation has taken place;
The client fails to attend a scheduled appointment without reasonable notice; or
Preparatory work has been undertaken before the consultation.
Where ongoing services are cancelled, Bridgefield Legal reserves the right to charge for all work carried out up to the date of cancellation together with any non-refundable third-party costs or disbursements incurred on the client's behalf.
